Teppothsavam one of the most pictorial festivals of Sri Parthasarathy Temple is being held now. The festgenerally begins from the New Moon day during the Tamil month of Maasi. The festival which began on March 11 will end today (March 17). The festival has been attracting a large number of residents in the area. Strings of electric lights adorning the temple tower, walls of the Kairaveni Pushkarani and the neerazhimandapam presented a pleasant sight.
The first three days of the festival was devoted to Lord Parthasarathy and the rest were dedicated to Narasimhar, Ramar and Ranganathar. The concluding day (March 17) is devoted to Gajendravaradarajar Swamy.
