A fresh dab of paint for the subways

All the subways in Anna Salai have been given a facelift recently.

Subways on the Anna Salai are of immense help to pedestrians who otherwise have to wind their way through heavy traffic. If not for these subways, crossing the broad road from one side to the other will become an ordeal.

There are about seven subways in the entire stretch of the road — Napier Bridge to Little Mount. One can see people climbing in and out of this facility day and night.

Thanks to the Highways Department, these subways are periodically maintained and guarded to the best of their ability to facilitate the public. Most of these have been given a fresh dab of paint now.
