The PTA has been trying to retrieve the school playground from encroachers.
The Corporation High School (New Div 123 / Old Div 115) at Vanniyar, Teynampet, is primly located on Eldams Road. With about 350 students (Class VI to X) studying here, the school has all facilities excepta good playground. As per records, the school has about seven grounds of land specifically demarcated for a playground, but thanks to encroachers, students of the institution have been deprived of a play area for more than 25 years.
“I have been fighting for the cause for nearly three decades but in vain,” says Mr. Munusamy, former president, Parent Teacher Association of the school. He has submitted petitions to a number of authorities such as the Mayor, MLA, Corporation authorities and Director-Metrowater and many others.
