The centre, which is at PNK Thottam, was inaugurated on January 8.
A study centre of R.K. Mutt was spruced up and inaugurated on January 8 at Pattu Nool Kara Thottam or PNK Garden in the heart of Mylapore.
The large hall replete with tiled flooring, adequate toilet facilities and books for children has been put up at a cost of about Rs. 20 lakhs, allotted by the Mutt. The work on this hall was planned in 2008, but was taken up only last year. Foundation for a three-storeyed structure has been laid but only the ground floor – a 2500 sq feet hall – has been built now. It is a well ventilated and neat premises which can accommodate around 100 children.
